Combination obstacles

Automatic detection of combinations

Combination obstacles are detected and marked automatically, once the obstacles are aligned in a straight line and the distance between the obstacles matches the configured combination range.

The range of distances when the aligned obstacles are recognised as a combination can be adjusted in the Competition parameters (default keyboard shortcut: P).

Aligning obstacles into a line or combination

In reality in may be difficult to precisely align obstacle directions and distances. To automatically form an ideally aligned line of obstacles, select multiple obstacles and use the Arrange into line or combination object command (default keyboard shortcut Q).

If the obstacles are already part of the course, the obstacles will be placed evenly between and two selected obstacles on the end of the track. If the distances between obstacles are right, it will be automatically detected as a combination obstacle.

If the obstacles are not on the course, they will be evenly placed in the order of making the selection, between the first and last selected obstacles.

Grouping obstacles that form a combination

To easily move, rotate and scale the whole combination obstacle as one object, it makes sense to group all of its obstacles. When manipulating the group, the relative direction and distances between the obstacles will be preserved.

Using combination templates

To quickly add a double or treble combination to the arena, you can drag and drop a corresponding combination icon from the object toolbox on the left of the screen. This will add all the needed obstacles as a group and automatically align them into a line.

The type of obstacles in the combination can be later changed from the Object panel when an obstacle is selected.
