Automatic numbering of obstacles
One of the key features of the course design automation is automatic assignment of numbers on the course.
Obstacles that are not part of the course – this includes all obstacles that are added to the arena – have initially no numbers displayed.

Once an obstacle is connected into the course, it will get the right symbol: circle for the primary round and square for the jump-off or second round. The symbol is placed on the right of the approaching side of the obstacle. Inside the symbol, there is a number of the obstacle. The number is automatically assigned, counting the obstacles from the Start, respecting the rules for numbering the combinations, jump-off, second phase and jumping the obstacles in both direction. For more details please see the Numbering rules section at end of this guide.
Manual numbering of obstacles
Sometimes designers prefer to assign the obstacle numbers manually and not rely on the automation. This is especially useful when making the initial layout of the arena and jumping order of the obstacles, not working yet on the details of the track shape.
To assign a manual number to an obstacle, select the obstacle and navigate to the Object Panel in the bottom right part of the screen. Click on the table’s row Numbers in the appropriate round and direction and enter your number. The number you enter can be any text you wish, but please avoid entering here other data like obstacle’s description – for that purpose you can use the field at the top of the panel called Title.
You can enter manual number also for obstacles that are not part of the course yet.

The columns in the table have the following meaning:
1 ❯❯ primary round, forward jumping direction
1 ❮❮ primary round, backward jumping direction
2 ❯❯ second phase/jump-off, forward jumping direction
2 ❮❮ second phase/jump-off, backward jumping direction
You can remove the manual numbers in three ways:
- Edit and delete them in the object panel
- Select the obstacle and choose the command Clear manually set obstacle number from the object context menu or from the Object menu (default keyboard shortcut N)
- Choose the command Clear all manually set obstacle numbers from the Edit menu – it will remove all manual numbers from all obstacles (default keyboard shortcut Shift-N)
Numbering rules
Single round
Obstacles in the same round get subsequent numbers:

Obstacles in a combination get the same number with subsequent alphabet letters added, for example: 4A, 4B, 4C, …

Second phase
The first obstacle in the second phase gets the next number after the last obstacle in the primary round:

Second phase shared with primary round
When jumping an obstacle in the second phase and that obstacle was already jumped in the primary round, the next number will be normally assigned.
Example jumping the obstacle in both directions:

Example jumping in one direction only:

Jump-off
The first obstacle in a jump-off gets the primary round’s last obstacle’s number plus two:

Jump-off shared with primary round
When jumping an obstacle in the jump-off and that obstacle was already jumped in the primary round, the next number will be normally assigned only if the obstacle is jumped in both directions:

If the obstacle is jumped in one direction, its number will be preserved from the primary round:
