Working with images
parkour.design has several built-in images that you can use in your designs. You can also upload and use own images.
Placing images
To place an image on the arena, select the Images tab in the panel on the right side of the editor screen. A list of available images will be displayed. Select the image, drag it to the arena and drop in the desired place. You can move, rotate and scale the image the same way as other objects.
Alternatively, you can drag and drop an Image icon from the toolbar to the arena and select the image.
Adding own images
You can add own images to the list by pressing Add your own image button.
Adding an image from the PDF file
You can quickly add an image by pointing to a fragment of a PDF file. When adding an own image, provide a PDF file. A dialog will open where you will be able to select a page from the PDF. By manipulating the crop rectangle you can point to a fragment of that page that will be uploaded as an image.
This feature is useful for course trainings, where students are provided with a templates of the arenas in PDF files. By importing that arena as an image and aligning it to the arena in parkour.design, they can quickly design the course on the template.
Aligning an image to the arena
For an image that is already placed on the design, use the button Align with arena to easily position and scale the image to precisely match the arena. This way you can use images as arena backgrounds.
Please see this video explaining how to add images from PDF and align them to the arena:
Cleaning up the images list
If the list of images gets messy, you can remove custom images from the list with the Delete image button. The deleted images won’t be removed from the designs in which they are used, only from the list. If you change your mind, you can restore an image to the list by selecting it in a design and pressing Restore image button.
